We’re partnering with our friends at Primary Care Alberta to increase the availability of affirming reproductive health to trans and gender diverse folks. These pop-up clinics are events for the Two-Spirit, trans and gender diverse community and by registration only. The clinic are open to everyone.

These clinics are offered at the Sheldon Chumir Health Centre and staffed by affirming healthcare professionals. The Skipping Stone team will also be on site to help provide support, and bring alone some snacks, games and more to help ease anxieties and add in some fun.

The Sexual & Reproductive Health clinic will be open to the general public at the time of the clinic, so non-Skipping Stone individuals will be present.

When you arrive at the Chumir (1213 4th Street SW), enter at the Urgent Care side (west side), and then come up to the 5th floor and look for the Skipping Stone banner and team member who will help you get all checked in and directed to the right place.
If security greets you, when you enter the building, tell them you have an appointment upstairs.

- A support person (if you’d like)
All staff members will ask your name and pronouns first and use those regardless of what appears on your Alberta Healthcare Card. This can be included on profile/chart as well. You’ll be asked to complete an “organ inventory” so the staff know what your needs are, but there is never an assumed connection between what appears on the inventory and your identity.
For people on testosterone, dryness can make pelvic exams uncomfortable. If this is a concern, please reach out 2 weeks prior to your appointment and doctors can discuss a short-term cream to help reduce discomfort. The clinic can be reached at (403) 955-6500.
