SKIPPING STONE FOUNDATION HOSTS:

AN EVENING WITH JESSICA HERTHEL

Friday, May 26, 2017

JACK SINGER CONCERT HALL LOBBY  |  ARTS COMMONS

Reception – 6pm  |  Presentation – 7pm

As our first annual scholarship fundraiser, Skipping Stone Foundation is pleased to host Jessica Herthel, LGBTQ2+ youth advocate and co-author of the critically acclaimed children's picture book about a transgender girl, I Am Jazz.

Through her lens as a straight ally and her unique mix of booksmarts and humour, Jessica creates an open, inclusive and insightful discussion that offers a snapshot of what it means to be an ally and how to support the transgender and gender diverse youth in our life.

A Harvard Law School graduate, Broward Country Public School LGBTQ guideline and curriculum developer and former Director of the Stonewall National Education, Jessica now travels across North America concentrating on national speaking engagements, school district consultations and the imperative need to make schools and communities a safer place for all children.

All proceeds from this evening go directly into Skipping Stone Foundation’s Scholarship Program.

All tickets include a reception with hors oeuvres and desserts. Seating is limited so early arrival is recommended.
